• You will architect and build new software components for our medical products like mdbrain and mdprostate and design the architectural changes needed for deploying our products in a variety of setups: standalone, monolithic, cloud, cluster.

• You will use your problem-solving skills to identify and fix complex issues in the existing code base.

• You will ensure the high quality of our software by suggesting and introducing new technologies, elevating quality standards, doing performance analysis and by leading refactoring initiatives;

• You will enhance the automations within our testing and deployment infrastructure, making it efficient and comprehensive;

• You will contribute your creative ideas and solutions during product and technical discussions;

• You will guide and support other junior engineers in their growth, periodically leading engaging workshops to enhance the capabilities of the software team and take care that our internal documentation stays in great shape.

• You graduated in Computer Science;

• You have 5+ years of work experience as a Backend Software Engineer including solid Python experience

• You have proven experience with either AWS or GCP and infrastructure-as-code systems like Terraform

• You have proven experience with complex software systems including distributed systems - transactions, locks and mutexes do not have secrets for you;

• You excel at debugging (e.g. with step debuggers) and performance analysis (profiling) - you have already enhanced the performance of some software units before;

• You are familiar with Linux, have a pretty good understanding of operating system and networking fundamentals, as well as database theory including SQL;

• You have experience using Docker;

• You believe less is more and aim to always find simple and maintainable solutions to engineering problems. You are used to finding good compromises.

One of the following makes you stand out:

• You have 2+ years of experience working on Artificial Intelligence-related projects;

• You know and/or have worked with the DICOM protocol/standard before.
